Daniel Grataloup retires

It has been announced that Francois Delecour will have a new co-driver, Anne-Chantal Pauwels, to replace Daniel Grataloup, who has decided to retire.

Apparently Daniel was due to retire at the end of 2003 anyway and a combination of the crash in Australia and Mitsubishi's withdrawl from this year's WRc hastened the decision.

Pauwel previously partnered Delecour from 1984 to 1991.

So that's four long term driver / co-driver partnerships that have split in recent months.

Unfortunately, Delecour is not driving this year. So what about Risto, Tommi's Co-driver?

About Risto; he was working for Mitsu Team in the end of last year and the plan was to navigate for Jani Paasonen in 2003.

Delecour, like Alister McRae will be spending the majority of the year working on the new Lancer WRC for 2004. The team are likely to contest a few WRC events though.
