In the New Year I'm going to invest in some new tyres for my MG Midget... which I hope to be sprinting next year..

Does anyone recommend a specific brand which is good and listed in the 'Blue Book'

Yoko's always get a good write up, I think they're A250 - or similar...

Anything else??

ohhh i just read your thing again, i guess u want list A1?

best to look in a particular championships regs to see wot tyres to choose, some championships allow yoko's (ASWMC do) some dont (caterham challenge).

Yeah, any tyre listed in A1 is allowed - there's no restriction on that.. so any favourites??

(They aren't allowed to be scrubbed, if that makes a difference..)

32r's are a great all weather tire, but u be better off getting 21's for dry.

the 32's can be felt to move about a bit under breaking, and straightline, not really a problem in hillclimbing tho.

21's have more rubber so are faster for dry.

but im fairly sure they arent in A1.
if you buy 32's scrubbed would be better. cos then the tread wont move about so much.
dont think there is a rule on it tho.
