British GP - Ticket information and help..

Hi guys, i am 15 years old and i have never been to a F1 race, my dad has also never been as it is too expensive, however, as a treat i am going to start saving up now so that i will be able to afford it for both of us. But my question is, can anyone give me tips on the cheapest way of watching a grandprix, or if there is a cheapway of stand seats.....

thanks guys

If you want to actually go to the GP at Silverstone to watch the cheapest way is to buy General Admission tickets. The Silverstone web site is http://www.silverstone.co.uk/events/.../?tab=Book-now where you can find Sunday only GA tickets at £115 each. Seating in grandstands will cost quite a bit more and are already starting to sell out, as will the GA tickets, probably quite quickly now that we have two British WDCs in a British team (McLaren).

The entire perimeter of the circuit! Been to this race twice with GA (07 & 08), enjoyed it twice... going again this year.

A weekend GA ticket will give you a "roving seat" for Friday, ie you can sit in any open grandstand on the Friday.

The rest of the weekend is a "find a spot on the banking".

The general admission bronze tickets start from the end of the terrace at copse and run all the way upto the hanger straight grandstand.

The banking between stowe and vale and the banking at Club corner.

The best place to sit (there is plenty of room but still arrive early) would be at Becketts, about midway along the banking. You will see the cars at full speed from maggots all the way to the start of the hangar straight. There is a giant tv screen nearby and toilets etc just behind the grandstand.

Take chairs, waterproofs, drinks etc. get there early and enjoy a great atmosphere.

Porsche, GP2 and Formula BMW are good races so don't miss them (they are often better than the F1)

ahh that could be good then, but when you say 'bronze general admision' and not just GA, it makes me wonder where i can go just with plain old General admision, as bronze GA are about £45 more, so is that the ticket you usially get??

sorry, not specific enough! I meant plain old general admission! I always get the basic entry level tickets, they will give the access I mentioned.
