Donnington 22 September

So who is planning to be at Donnington for the final of the BTCC/F3/British GT, I am planning on going, I am booking my tickets tomorrow, it would be nice to meet up with a few of you as I have been on here for the last 18 months and have yet to meet any of you.

The only thing that is a bit disapointing is that the GT are not on until 5.25, as that is one of the races I am looking forward to..............

Know how that feels! I managed to grovell to my Mum and somehow persuade her to drive me backwards and forwards from home to Cheltenham (to drop off my belongings), then back to Donington and then drop me off at Uni on the Sunday night after the race day!

(Praying for no traffic jams...)

BigFella and son hope to be there both days, anybody got any accomodation tips for the sat night? also put out about the GTs as it makes for a late start for a long drive home.

Rest assured that we are trying to have the schedule changed. The BRDC are doing all they can to have our race put back to a respectable time of day. Fingers crossed. Reading this has been very encouraging though.

Odd thing was the original timetable issued at the start of the year had the GTs earlier in the day and the BTCC as the last race of the day.

It's daft really - they will want to do big championship winning podium, interviews etc etc which will put the GTs back even further - unless of course, they think it will be all be decided on the sprint race.

Should be a belter end of term and all that - get down to yorkcityracing.com pit/garage im sure they will be a party going on there!!

Try last week Autosport they had a ticket offer on in there - £15 on the Sunday - that is where I am booking mind from tomorrow when I get home from work............

I will be attending. Whats all this about tickets? Is it cheaper to get them before hand then? Ive never had to buy tickets for a Donington event before!! (oh, F1 1993 but thats different!)

are they doing it just for donington or are they on route to something else ?

Just picked this up from the Toca site - looks like Atomic Kitten are joining use at the weekend

The UK's hottest girl band, Atomic Kitten, will be hoping to bring some of their chart-topping success to Donington Park next weekend (22 September) when they support their race team, Team Atomic Kitten, at the final rounds of the Green Flag 2002 MSA British Touring Car Championship.

Jenny, Liz and new mum Natasha will be present on Green Flag BTCC race day to cheer on their drivers Gareth Howell and Colin Turkington, as they battle for overall honours in the Independents' Cup.

The girls will be available for autographs at the Team Atomic Kitten pit garage during the official pits walkabout/autograph session, scheduled to run from 11.30 to 12.30.

I for one will be heading that way
