What I meant was that all the above are among a small elite of Brits who gilted their pockets from motorsport. Unlike JP, none of them took a significant portion of their earnings from the sport and ploughed it back in to a relatively risky venture which would directly benefit racers and fans alike in this country... and for that JP has to be applauded.

I totally agree, but at least the others, possibly apart from EI, are still involved in one way or another. They havn't left the scene completely.

According to MN, the operating lease of DP has supposed to have been sold by "Clear Channel" - a US based media company - to a consortium of "motor sport enthusiasts". Tom Wheatcrof still owns the freehold.

Formal announcements are expected at the end of Jan - I expect that they are still tying up the commercial loose ends.
