Ocon has had a meeting at Williams, surely if Williams are really serious about racing they will put him in the car and take a Mercedes discount. If not I respectfully suggest all their credibility as a team and 'racers has gone, sadly.

It would be good if it happens - smart move by Williams might be to sign Ocon to an unbreakable 2 year deal. Essentially say to him "we know you're off to Benz at some point but we're committed to each other for the next 40 odd races and let's do something special together".

That approach could work really well for both team and driver.

He did a better job in quali but Button was on a superior strategy in the race which would have put him well ahead if his car hadn't failed. Stoffel did a great job for his 1st race but to say he "blew Button away" is very wide of the mark and is a disservice to both of them.

Isnt it now his third chance? From STR.... promoted to RBR, demoted back to STR, dropped from there and now back again at STR
