I dont think its too bad - I like the gold & black idea, but a red/green/white car is a true castrol car. Maybe people are just not liking so many red fords (888, DJR, now an FPR car - thats 5 now red fords) maybe blue-bloods arent too happy about that. I dont care about that - it looks good IMHO (and chrsitmas on wheels-like too).

I Like it more than the white PMM cars

nicer but still abit green, personally LP's 2003 livery was the best castrol livery and one of my alltime favourites.

well, depends what you are trying to do! if u want to do a falcon livery, it might be kinda difficult to use the VY template!

seriously though, it depends on what program you are using, and how it performs at colouring the shaded areas (like the sideskirts) on the TKR template. Basically, the more basic the program is, the easier the VY would be cos its a simpler template (i assume u have the vy template that was posted on here).

But either way, give it a shot - i'd love to see what you come up with!

LoL M-Kart i was thinking of starting withe the Autobarn car haha that seems like the easiest.

Im using Paint at the moment and the paint bucket doesnt seem to colour the spots in properly, so what do you use? I only have a lap top at the moment so its gonna be a slow process LoL!!

Ill give it a shot and show you all what i come up with haha.

BTW nice Britek car M-kart!

It colours them in properly, Paint just does that one RBG selection there, not all variations of it like Photoshop.

Well, the Autobarn car would be easiest to do (well, other than the sirromet cars, but i've already done that). As has already been said, the fill bucket in paint only fills patches of exactly the same colour, so even the slightes of change in shades wont appear in the new filled colour), so you may end up using the pencil tool to colour in individual pixels (i know this coz the first few liveries i did i used paint before I got my hands on photoshop - and it took quite a bit longer than they do now). The other disadvantage of paint is you cant use layers to put the panel lines over the sponsors - you have to draw them over. Again, this is easy enough to do, it just takes time to get it right.

Oh, and its not too much hassle to do the mockups in a laptop - I do some on my laptop too - my only reccomendation is get a USB mouse - much easier than using the sensor pad.

You can dp pretty good liveries with paint - it just takes time & a bit of patience, but its a fine place to start. Best of luck - i'm sure you'll do a great job. (you'll be mastering Jose's designs sooner than you think!)

BTW, thanks for the comment about my britek-mobile!

I'm Back, and Going Mock-up Retro!

Here is my first mock up in a while, and its not a current shape car. Using my saloon car template i made in January, with a bot of modification, i have made a 1994 EB Falcon Touring car (with the winglets on the front bar).

Here's the first mockup, possibly the most famous win for the EB, DJR's 1994 Dick Johnson/John Bowe Bathurst winner:

I'll post the template in a few days - ther'sa few things i changed on it as I did the djr car that i need to update on the blank drawing.

Looking good there M-Kart. Did anyone see the Toyota Aurion V8 Supercar mockup in V8X? I think it looks a bit like a VE but still looks good.
