Cancelled

Unfortunely this event has been cancelled due to lack of entries.

Its a shame as this event has had this before where it was cancelled
Shame not enough entries
But is begs the question
Are there too many events on around the same time of year

There is at least one other event on the same date (Snetterton Stages) but I'd have thought that was far enough away to have a different catchment area. There have been quite a few cancellations this year due to lack of entries (and others where entries have been borderline) - some are doubtless due to date clashes but others are I suspect a consequence of the financial climate and/or the increasing cost of competing.

Date clashes could be avoided with better co-ordination between event organisers (easier said than done though) - cost of competing is another thing altogether. Costs are rising across the board in motorsport but some of those costs are baffling (see some of the threads in the 'racers' forum for things like seatbelt expirey dates etc), the changes to what's allowed and what's not with rally car modifcations will see a few more people leave the sport and cost others a lot of money - all with no appreciable benfefit. Rallying seems to be a shrinking sport
