Hindy has mentioned this on Radio Le Mans for a while now. The new 991 needs more development before being handed off to the privateers.

Interesting that the Porsche 991 RSR GTE won't be a customer car at large. Disappointing change in direction.
Shame really, there is going to be a fight over who gets the new car then one would assume. Though Falken are probably the best placed team to get the car unless Flying Lizards step back up.
It did sound however that Falken's participation next year could hinge on them getting this new car.

On the plus side.... A works Manthey Porsche squad looks like it could still be on the cards.

(probably a lot of reading between the lines from me there, so take it with a pinch of salt)

That is what I was thinking as well. The current (ALMS) car isn't all that competitive, and having it hang around for an additional year won't help that. Especially with Corvette bringing in a new car and the z4 and vipers with an additional year of development.

Baltimore race is supposedly going to be held at a different location in the city. Perhaps the city officials don't want to repave the inner harbor??

I honestly can't think of anywhere inside of Baltimore where there is room to fit that kind of event. And the roads (mostly) just get worse...

Agree, I've heard this from multiple people...

About the only other possibility would be the seaport near Broening Hwy

I'd prefer to ditch that to have the Cleveland Airport circuit back.

John Dagys reports that a number of European P2 teams, including OAK and Greaves are seriously considering competing in the USCR at Daytona and/or Sebring. Critical will be the exact regulations for DPs:

Where are you guys hearing this? I know someone that works for the city and he said the only thing thats being discussed is the date to work around the football game next Labor Day. He said there hasn't been any talk in his office about a different track.

I hope he's not keeping this little nugget from me.

Read it again.

Dalla Lana remains committed to the USCR GT Daytona class (despite some rules uncertainties) as well as the 2014 USCR NAEC schedule, despite the fact that it has not been released yet.

What point are you making exactly? David quoted an article saying Dalla Lana will race a GTE car in the endurance rounds and you say the same thing? Yes he continues to run in gtd, but expands to GTE because he knows the rules.

That's not why he's expanding. He already owns the GTE Aston.

My point? If drivers, owners and stakeholders like Dalla Lana clearly have faith in USCR, why can't we?

On topic please. It all to easy to take it to the usual pointed remarks about the series. I know there is overlap, but it was hoped people would try for the sake of others who are interested in just collating information about the entries and schedule. There is already a place to discuss the other stuff. It is only a couple of clicks away to be considerate to other users.
