RaceTime should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Few more images

After the image I posted in the Amaroo thread the other day of Allan Moffat I finally tracked down and scanned the other pics I mentioned. Even managed to find one I thought I had lost of Fred Gibson in the FoMoCo entered car at Amaroo Park (coming onto the straight past the pits.

Hope you enjoy: http://www.racetime.com.au/racepics.htm

Race Time.

Loved the pics (even the Brock L34).

Made me want to go out and buy a Superbird. But petrol in my neck of the woods is $1.04 a litre!

It's a good job I don't have the E37 Charger I used to have - around Sydney/Penrith used to get around 7-8 miles per gallon (don't ask me what that is in litres <g>) - in the country best I got was 10-11 miles per gallon. Worst I *ever* got was 3.5 mpg at around 2:30 am on two flying laps of Mt Panorama in 1976! Oh yes - I ran the beast on AvGas as well - so had to carry drums of fuel in the boot...Ahhhh the joys of being young!!

I must be doing something wrong. I've only got a little Datsun 1600 and I'm getting just 8mpg.

Cheeky little bugger. That's it no more rides for you, though given your previous post, you're probably glad of that.

Heheh, sorry about that

But deadset, going flat from the top of the Eastern Loop (at Lakeside) to the braking marker at the Karussell flat chat with a passenger on board is rather impressive in my books

The new motor is honking, i'm not quite flat through Bryan Byrt now and I'm on the brakes 10m earlier at Carrussell. It's also 5mph faster through the kink.

Is it allowable to fit non-standard speedos to Grp N cars?

BTW- what's the braking point at the end of the straight now??
