Yellow Flag Laps

Was it just me,or did it seem as if the Simple Green Team was slow to clean up at the mile?I think it took 12 caution laps just to go green after PT lost the wheel!

I noticed that too.... seemed a little slower than usual. Perhaps they were short staffed or something? I'm sure there's a reason... those guys really are the best in all of motorsport.

I think they spent 10 laps picking up Camathias' jock strap.

Were they using the Safer Barriers at Milwaukie like they were at Indy? If they were, these take abit longer to replace after a car hits them, which was the reason for lengthier yellows at Indy, maybe that was the reason. Race hasn't been shown down here yet, i'll have a look when it's on (tomorrow night )

It's something they need to work on anyway...

According to CART.com, it took a little while before they found the nut. I haven't seen it yet so I don't know for myself.

Ya I agree they were a little slow out there last night but i'm sure it was all necessary those guys are the best in racing. They even commented that Jeff Gordon wants Nascar to get with the program and start a similar saftey crew.

Interesting comments, as I had the impression that the safety crew worked as usual. But maybe the fact that I was at the grandstands, excited and looking at several things at the same time, distorted my perception of time.

The Milwaukee track has a turbine truck which actually is a tandem machine - a truck pulls a trailer, and the turbine is installed on the latter. The funny part is that the turbine trailer includes a rider, or a turbine operator, and the guy (or gal) spends all the time pressing buttons and moving levers in a sort of control panel - I wonder what is he/she trying to set up all the time!
