The drivers probably are Zelenov, Fridman and Shapovalov. Their names are on the pictures of the BMW at the autosport.nl message. Nice looking car BTW

Great paint scheme that one (especially compared to the Schnitzer cars, IMHO)!
As for the Zandvoort races, I'm really looking forward to them - they're using the long layout, right? |

I think so, assuming its the same one that was at the ETCC last season, he was Eduardo's son IIRC

I think Eduardo DOES have a racing son - I may have got my wires crossed there... Daddy being in the money-spending league at Pioneer can't have hurt young Miguel's career any... Thanks for the info Bambaaaatttaaaaaaaaaa |

This is such a long way away. I hate this time gap between rounds, WTCC is guilty of it a lot!
Still, it builds anticipation. Expect more politicking? |

According www.autosport.nl BMW expects it can keep the 15 kg advantage. Mario Theissen: "I have the confirmation of Jonathan Ashman (chairman touring car comittee) the 15 kg reduction is for the full season".
In Brazil BMW did not know Alfa and Chevrolet had a reduction of 10 kg. The touring car committe has extented the 10 kg reduction from last year but did not inform the other manufacturers. |

FIA really should get their sh*t together. Right now things are getting worse by the week, which will seriously damage the series on the long run.

WTCC newsletter adds at the bottom that...
'All the other competitors have lost the automatic 10 kg ballast they had for the first event, handicap that will be now imposed to Portuguese newcomers Tiago Monteiro and Miguel Freitas.' Proves Freitas will be there, but no mention of Russian Bears - hopefully they can get something together though! |

Even more Russians?
Not actually anything to do with Zandvoort round, but there may be even more Russians in WTCC. Timur Sadredinov (2nd in 2006 ETCCup SP) will start his season in SEAT Leon Supercopa and will also participate some WTCC rounds in 2nd half of the season.

Even though the BMW's are still leading it's good to see that Seat isn't that far behind. They have to work on their pace on the long run though.

Only 1 month to go until Round 2 of the championship...seems a hell of a break to take, given that they are already back in Europe...
