Unfortunately no car for me to take around. I might however go along see what everyone is up to and maybe luck into a passenger ride

I've only spun once and that was coming out of Cascades when I had my Xsara. It was damp and I went in a bit too fast and the back end went light and spun me onto the grass backwards without hitting anything. That was over 5 years ago. I've never spun the Clio, it just grips and grips and sometimes slides a bit but never lets go no matter how hard I push it.
Really looking forward to the 22nd!

Just hoping the weather isn't going to turn to snow. The forecast seems to be very cold winter weather for next few weeks.

Wasn't the spin caused by trying to loose a mighty nut in a lupo? Tehe

I do recall a Lupo going pretty fast but that was my own doing. The Xsara didn't handle well to start with but me giving a boot full in third coming out of Cascades just pushed it too far. It was a combination of crap tyres, damp track and a bit too exuberant.

Steve Fox should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I'm booked in to take the jalopy for a pootle round Brands but I am looking at the weather forecast and it doesn't look to go much over 0 from now until then, -6 is forecast for Friday morning. Apart from slight technical issues (like not being able to put water in the car until the last moment) The big question would be what actually happens? Do the organisers simply say "There is the course, yes it has snow on it, cope" - in which case I might not bring slicks - but is it more likely we will get an email at some point saying don't bother coming. If that were the case when would that call be made? Very last minute? On the day? As this is only a complementary track day would that simply be the end for this year or would it get re-scheduled?
I know it is a slightly unusual situation, I once attended a FF race at Thruxton while it snowed but that's not the same as a foot of it on the course.
Anyone know?

Considering they cancelled this weekends activities because of the weather, it may well be cancelled and rescheduled.

Going to have to cancel my place as well unfortunately,
not had time to get cambelt etc done on my 'new' (2nd hand..) car and really can't afford to risk it , much as I would have enjoyed flooring it down the back straight etc .
Just tried the contact number but it's Mon-Fri only, so I'll send them an email and then try to contact someone by phone on Monday given the short notice.
