V8 Xtra (Merged x2)
Just finished watching Panelbeaters and what a great show it was. I personally think this show should take the place of V8Extra, which is a total waste of time and energy. What do you guys think?

A bit like the AFL coverage, sadly lacking. |

V8 extra is a bit soft.
Can you watch the Panelbeaters of you don't have Bigpond? I couldn't seem to get it to work |

i don't have littlepond and mine works, great show i have only watched 10 mins of V8 xtra and switched to RPM and watched what was going on around the world in Motorsport instead of going over the resaults/highlights and telling us stuff we already know about the category.
100% agree with you william littletime . |

I like V8Xtra, some of the features are interesting. Any parts not of interest I just fast forward though.
Panelbeaters I've only listened to on the podcast. I have a back log of shows dating back to last year to listen to. I burn them to cd and play them in my car when traveling. |

I prefer the V8 Insiders as its usually more independent of V8SC and tends not to have its hands tied as often.
V8Xtra is more for the casual fan, but has some interesting features, like the one on the improved side impact protection or the endless Garry Rodgers rebuilds Keep them all, they all have their place. Gabriel Last edited by TWRv12; 22 Jun 2007 at 22:58. |

They can be a bit slow getting it up after its been on live, but its usually there within 24hrs of broadcast. Podcast can sometimes be up hours before its on the site. Absolutely hate that page on BP, its sucks, especially the column on the right. |

V8 Xtra
Up here in the red neck wonderland we receive V8 Extra at all sorts of odd hours of the night. So I finally decided to watch it after taping it around 2am last Sat night. The timeslot probably adequately portrays its current standard.
I am not sure about anyone else but as much as I like Larko I reckon the never ending Skaife jokes have had their time. And was it just me or was Besnard going through the motions. As a lead up to the enduro events I can only say it was pretty p1ss poor. |

The show, and as much as I love the V8's, is very vanilla.
It seems there is very little juicy chat with current drivers, with everyone being very careful to trot out the same old vanilla lines. |

yes bring back V8 Egostars.
i didn't mind the show yes they got childish at times and stroked their own ego's but V8 Xtra is getting a little plain. i thought the best ever episode of Xtra was leading into Bathurst last year. Larko and Skaifey really need to get a room to get it out of their system. and Panelbeaters should come back on Bigpond. that was a great show, i miss it. |

Its a BS show.
the jokes between the 3 of them are boring and so stale its turned into some new kind of bacteria. the ad breaks take up 20mins of the 30min show. not to mention they cant even answer a question properly like the one this past weekend where a viewer asked how are they able to get neg camber on the rear with a live axle. they just said replied - they use different type shims with the correct angles. it still doesnt answer how u get that amount of neg camber on a live axle which is what the person was asking. Its a **** show. I rather watch the opera on SBS at the same time then watch that dribble. |

I've always liked the show but this year it has been pretty low budget and not overly interesting(at least from the episodes I have watched). Actually often I don't even bother watching the video and just listen to the audio in the back ground while busy with something else. Also most of the drivers that are on there look bored to tears.
I found last year pretty interesting going to all the teams home bases. |

Did they mention something about GRM? I overheard it just as I was re-entering my lounge room...

I was a little amused when someone emailed yesterday, asking the question.."What happens to the winning trophies? Do they belong to the team or the driver?"
Skaife answered that he liked to have a copy of his trophies made so that he & the team could keep one each. Excuse me Mr Skaife, but didn't you already own the team?.....& the trophy? Why get a copy made? Last edited by paydirt; 27 Sep 2009 at 02:35. Reason: x |

Hmm. The team owns the trophy. The team gets sold..they still own the trophy not the old owners...Think about it before you try to put a boot into someone for no reason |
