The STIG should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Ok, we've seen it before on Single seaters, but I've never heard of one for rally or touring cars before.

Thoughts from the rescue bods?

Looks good and quite clever.

Two questions though - how do you get it over the door bars, and how long until similar designs trickle down the ladder and reach club events etc etc?

The same way you'd get a KED over the door bars...or you could cut them away if necessary.

Thing is, if a driver warrents extracation on a spinal board, it's highly likely the rescue crew will have done some cutting before hand.

Apart from the price, I see no reason why this can't be fitted to a clubbies car.

Price could be a factor, but think it's like any of these things - sometimes just think they take a while to "work themselves down" so to speak.

All very well. Try to get that thing out of a car with a full cage, door bars and a narrow opening.

But you forget the fact that rescue crews just love to cut cars to pieces

(But only when they really need to )

presumably that's why I can't find it for sale by any uk companies - or maybe it's because it's quite new...

See the recent fire extinguisher and race suit threads (racing ranters fourm)
Now this WOULD be a useful thing to have.
I've got OMP seats - I'd like one!
No price on that webpage though.

Found a price.
See: http://www.streetandcircuit-shop.biz...CAT&catid=1029
£781.
Hmmmmmm. There's good ideas and god! ideas
That's for the full seat. Surely that back board would fit into an existing seat model? For a lot less.

I believe it currently only fits the WRC model of seat. but that price puts it firmly in reach of only professional teams. Hopefully it can filter down quickly.
