How many miles do YOU drive??

How many miles do you drive each year.

I do about 8-10,000 miles, but am sure there must be some sales reps or similar who do that in a couple of weeks!!!?

I'm limited to 8000 miles per year in Peril. Have just passed 5100 and I've had Peril since last May.

We're on a 'Limited Mileage' insurance policy with the Hurricane, so it dosn't get driven more than 3000 miles a year.
The Granada has had a fairly light year, Aly has only just gone back to work after maternity leave and an extra 8 months on top of that... Her commute is 12 miles each way so the miles will start mounting up again!
My personal weekly average is very low- I use a combination of cycle and train to get to work (because I work in London!)

Not any. In fact, I haven't driven a car since 1996.

I do about 22,000 miles a year. That includes a 50 mile round trip to work each day.
When I was getting my current car, I looked at buying new and found that a number had what looked like good payment schemes until you read the small print and found that it was a limited annual mileage, set at either 6000 or 9000 a year. If you went over that, you were charged at a ridiculous rate per mile over. I'll bet the dealerships make a killing with people who don't actually realise how many miles they do in a year. I know the insurance companies used to reckon that 12,000 was the average in this country.

When I was doing long distance truck driving I used to do 90-100,000 miles a year plus my personal driving, but stopped doing the long distance work last year so its a bit lower now.

was doing a round trip of approx 160km to uni. Before that it was around 120km a day to get to work.

I guess it was around 30 - 40,000km per year

I would do about 30,000ks a year in my 4x4 and my wifes car would do 15-20,000ks year. Now if I add in my job as a Sydney Bus Driver I could be up around 80-100,000ks a year.

neilwaynesmith is a back marker
My car was 2 years old on Valentines day and had notched up 82,160 miles by bedtime.

That doesn't include for 3 weeks being off the road due to bodywork repairs and 2 weeks being parked up because I couldn't drive a manual.

Like Carrie, I have about a 50 mile round trip commute. I average between 20,000 and 24,000 miles per year.

That about 32-38K km per annum.

At the opposite end of the scale, my grandfather bought a Holden ute new in 1978. When I bought it of him it had just over 40,000km on the clock......after 20 years on the road.
