News coming from Pierer Mobility hosting KTM (in fact KM now…), Husqvarna, MV Agusta and GASGAS are not very good atm. https://www.paddock-gp.com/en/motogp...rtion-congrue/

I would guess the money they have spent on GP racing over considerable years now is not being matched by bike sales.

I tend to agree with you here. Several K markets are slowing now, like the US one. Not forgetting that the KTM range is rather narrow and those bikes have not the best reputation of reliability you can look for.

It seems like they are going under, quite what that means for the huge programs they operate I don't know, motocross here and USA, enduro, trials, Dakar,

When you look at it why the hell were they making cars, buying companies that were dying like Husqvarna, Gas Gas even MV Agusta to be honest

Very badly managed and greedy I think, and if I was Acosta et al I would be extremely worried right now

Its going to be a nervous year for all involved....if they make the year that is but Im sure one of the most saught after signatures might look to jump ship when he can. if his contract allows and a seat becomes available.

Its not very good reading at the moment about KTM, How much development and resources are you going to have. Maybe they are preying on a Repsol buy out.

I cant see this ending well sadly

Yikes, just read KTM is estimated as being nearly €3billion in debt.

Also read of a chance that RedBull might take over the team as they did with Minardi in F1.
Quote:
Group boss Stefan Pierer also enjoys a close business relationship with Mark Mateschitz, heir to the European half of the Red Bull group, a long-time KTM partner when it comes to its motorsport project, with the pair recently forming their own investment group together.

There has even been suggestions that, should KTM’s racing programme look set to face significant cuts, Red Bull could even step in as a potential new owner, taking the team completely in-house as it's done with its Formula 1 efforts.
Al ot of other info here as well as the above: https://www.the-race.com/motogp/ktm-...-under-threat/

yes it doesnt read well at all.

Some very very nervous bike riders in those 2 squads, and no development.
I cant see much success 2025 to be honest

I'm afraid you're both very right here. A pure shame they could put a damper on the red wave.

A strong rumor about Lewis Hamilton buying KTM racing activities… Let see if this includes Tech3 which would be surprising to say the least! LH had already a collaboration with MV Agusta and has some interesting bikes in his stable ( Schumacher had some Ducatis parked in a private garage located at Bresse track, France).

If KTM are not there, he is their only rider I would want elsewhere on a good bike, the rest are quite honestly making up the numbers, Quite why anyone these days employs Vinales I have no idea and Bezecchi has proven to be a one hit wonder on a bike all the other 24 riders rode very well. Hence he got the boot and rightly so

I think KTM will be there but any other bike than a red one has not the potential to attract a top rider. Will be interesting to see which jap team will be on top of the classifications. Just hope it will be a french rider, either Fabio or Johann tho.

Im sure with Fabio's support crew/team members Pramac, that bike should only get better. Was slowly getting better end of the season so hopefully it picks up more in 2025

Yep they said its in the pipe but what about the displacement? They'd better go for a 850 now.

Somes changes in the teams, the very important duos rider/ chief mechanic announced are:
Pecco Bagnaia/Cristian Gabarrini; Marc Márquez/Marco Rigamonti.
Brad Binder/Andrés Madrid; Pedro Acosta/Paul Trevathan; Jorge Mart?*n/Daniele Romagnoli. Marco Bezzecchi/Francesco Venturato; Fabio Quartararo/ Diego Gubellini; Álex Rins/David Muñoz;Joan Mir/Santi Hernández; Luca Marini/Cristhian Pupulin; Miguel Oliveira/Luca Ferracioli; Jack Miller/Giacomo Guidotti; Fermin Aldeguer/Frankie Carchedi; Álex Márquez/Donatello Giovanotti; Franco Morbidelli/Matteo Flamigni;Fabio Di Giannantonio/Massimo Branchini; Enea Bastianini/Alberto Giribuola; Maverick Viñales/Manuel Cazeaux; Ai Ogura/Giovanni Mattarollo; Raúl Fernández/Noè Herrera; Johann Zarco/David Garc?*a and Somkiat Chantra/Klaus Nöhles.

Assuming its very unlikely that a Japanese can be called José dos Carburatores or Matteo Mammamia I think some will have to learn either Italian or Spanish -portuguese could certainly be a plus in the CV together with body language- and stop writing secret notes with nuddles!
