Chris Hobson should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Well before anyone's time (I guess) but Kop Hill near Princes Risborough was a leading venue from 1910 to 1925 - and is the reason closed road racing was banned in this country.

It has now been revived and in September each year a demonstration event (no timing) is held on the closed road. Last year we have 12,000 spectators over the two days and raised over 50k for local charities.

Firle, Bottisham, Ditcham...

Firle Hill Climb refused to go away:

Bottisham Speed Trials near Cambridge are worth recalling:

The airfield is still there with small flying museum.

What about Ditcham Hill Climb, near Petersfield, Hampshire?

Here is John Kirkland driving his Buckler Mk 6 at the Trengwainton hill climb in 1954. Jamie feel free to add the photo to your Photobucket collection.

Great Auclum

A member of the Hants & Berks Motor Club took these photos of Great Auclum around April 2017

Response to a post that's years old, but Oddicombe was actually stopped because someone realised it was still a public road, so the 30mph speed limit applied.

With the recent change to the law it was investigated whether it could return but a few things stood in the way. Firstly, the bottom paddock is considerably small following years of abuse by the see (although it would probably still be workable by moving paddock to the top and convoying down in batches). Secondly, the inspection by the MSA (as it was at time) suggested that it would require full armco for virtually the full length of the hill. Given that the local clubs and councils don't really have the kind of money to do that, the hill remains a memory

What a marvellous film. I love the rear wheel steer autotest cars. Thanks for posting.
