Not Matts biggest fan but got to give the lad a bit of credit for his last three events, he seems to of upped his pace a little but yeah still long way to go.
Comapred to Latvalla though hes inexperianced. JML has done alot more in his few years. |

I saw him in Wales and, even though he beat Atko, I thought he drove very well. I have new respect and the Brits should be proud of him!
He was quite lucky not to have the kind of problems that inflicted a few other Ford runners (fogged windows, no wipers, etc). |

Many of you are very unfair; rallyeing is far more difficult than some might think. And those who know, you do know it is not always so easy as people tend to say. I think that Matthew Wilson has done a great job, and all drivers have their ups and downs, and lately he has performed very well and climbed several steps up the ladder. You all speak of Atkinson, Meek and Wilks as better and much more experinced during a much shorter period. But every individual is different and though Atkinson scores higher points than Wilson, he many times have had a hard time staying on the road while others, like Wilson has managed to the get the car to the finish line. Which to me is of equal importance as to bring in scores. Also, as someone said, I don't remember who, which I agree to, that just because Matthew Wilson is Malcolm Wilson's son, and has been given a great opportunity others would die for, he is exposed to pressures and expectations far worse than many others in the WRC that are just driving and seen as talented, while Wilson on the other hand seems to have to prove his talent which people ought to know that he has, otherwise he wouldn't be in a WRC car, no matter who his parents are. I doubt that other powerful in the WRC would put their sons and daughters in the drivers seat in a WRC car if they didn't have any talent. But that's only my opionion. Instead of critizing him we should applaud Matthew Wilson as he has developed and come very far during this year and wish him luck during the next year.

zac510, you have hit the nail on the head, he had a bit of luck with his wipers and demisters staying in one piece whilst his team mates didn't, but again the thing that sticks in my mind is that when Latvalas car was working he was 15 seconds a stage quicker, Matt is improving but he has a whole lot to do next year, he has to be the top Stobbart boy next year, no more excuses.

Oi, you cheeky sod.
That's not true, although if he were to reverse I'd probably run up the back of him and we'd both be out. Anyway, if Malcolm Wilson's reading this, it's a plan, right? |

The rumour mill recently suggested that Giggi Galli was to be a Stobart driver next year as Latvalla is almost certain to be in the no 2 seat at BP Ford. So if that were to be true expect Solberg and Galli to be nominated drivers and Mathew to be third man again.
