Just got back fantastic day of racing. Interested to know what caused that crash on the way out involving a golf which somehow ended up in the hedge on it's side.

Well we all gathered at my place last night ready for an early start to drive up to Donington this morning. I guess it was about 3am last night that we decided we weren't ever gonna make it so we carried on drinking lol

According to the PA, 55,000 turned up on Saturday, 85,000 on Sunday. Drove past on Saturday mid-morning on the way to Nottingham and the A42/M1/etc were solid. Managed to miss most of the traffic on Sunday by arriving early and staying late.
As a regular race-goer this meeting is always fun playing 'spot the first-timer'. Couldn't believe that during the Megane race they had to ask spectator to keep their children back behind the fence, and after the last race had to ask people to get off the track as it was still in use for promo runs. Some people have no clue. |

I was at Silverstone for the 24 Hours, but I did get stuck in the traffic yesterday morning as I passed. But coming back passed about 6 'o' clock tonight there didn't seem to be much traffic coming on to the M1.
