Knockhill have altered the profile of three (think) of the corners) and have a new pit complex.

McIntyres and the hairpin have been widened and the paddock/pits has been sorted out.

Does that mean pit stops are now viable for the BTCT cars at Knockhill?

Invader should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
From the Knockhill website, December 2000 :

KNOCKHILL CLOSED FOR IMPROVEMENT

Following a recent report in Autosport, I write to detail the list of extensive improvements that are currently underway for 2001. For the first time in its 26 year history, the shape of the circuit is changing at three corners with widening and the hairpin is being re-profiled to allow more run-off areas and make it easier for larger cars to negotiate.

The biggest change, at all the corners, is the renewal of all existing kerbs, replacing them with race-car friendly kerbing, backed by eco-bloc. In addition the layout of the pit lane entry and exit road has changed, as well as construction of a bespoke pit lane wall with timing gantry.

The changes to the circuit will, with four corner changes and new kerbing create new cornering lines (with more overtaking opportunities) and new car set up a must to get the best out of Knockhill 2001.

We are all really excited about the changes, it nullifies the previous team concerns about the severity of our kerbs, our run-off areas, as well as allowing us to host pit stop races more safely. This will conclude a half million pound spend over the last four years on the venue.

Yours in sport
