Yep that's the man. Can't think why he would be involved in this ? Domain speculating seems a bit odd ?

Maybe Ford has bought it, so then if holden want to buy it, they have to pay the price that Ford nominates

WHo said they will be testing tommorow ?

Do you think HSV are a season long sponsor... or a interim sponsor until a better one can be found ?

Was listening to an interview with Tander here in Perth ast night and he said they were testing on Thursday.

Odd that Herrod would get involved in HSV, hes a Ford man, did the work for DJR's road car etc.

Jason the real world is no one wants to sponsor them so Holden are putting up the money.
The agreement under which the TWR umbrella was dismantled is the key - the guarantees GMH gave to keep the teams on the track.
Does Kelly want too much, cant Kelly provide the advertising & promotion value, or is it just that there are a shortage of big bucks sponsors in (all) sport.
Neither HRT or PWR are much better off in terms of non factory sponsors.

How does Dick Johnson pull in all these sponsors than??? A team that hasn't done much for a few years looses a big sponsor like Shell & replaces them with a new non-automotive sponsor in Westpoint & increased budget. Add Gotorz to that as well as I'm sure there throwing in a fair amount of $$ as well.

DJR where just lucky, the guy that signed the deal off when he worked for shell now signs the deal of as he works for westpoint, so as it was pointed out to me this is nothing to get excited about its just someone changing jobs and keeping his toe in motorsport sponsorship.

I guess your talking about Ross Brodie AAB. Still, I'm sure that Ross wasn't holding a gun to the heads at Westpoint telling them to hand over 10+ million dollars.
I think it takes a bit more than luck to land yourself a sponsor willing to part with that much money..

Ah Yes but if not for Ross would DJR have the money, plenty of other teams better positioned in the market.

HSV goes racing.

The worst kept secret is now official. Kelly Racing will wear HSV paint with other minor sponsors. Skaifey will be happy Uncle Tom has done a lot in a short period of time. Let's see how long it takes him to oust Skaife out of the HRT chair.

According to the Auto Magazines it looks as though Uncle Tom will share the HRT chair with Skaife
Hopefully a successful partnership for us Holden fans

I think all of these people claiming to have pics are just having a bit of fun with us. If they have them, then why not post the pics as promised. Does anyone know for sure that they did actually test today. I've read nothing about it and haven't seen any press releases, which you would of thought they would have issued, ie like Stone Brothers did.
