If this was to happen, i wonder what Mr Skaife would have to say to that!
After losing Courtney to Ford as well!

Depends what deal briscoe signed.

It looks as though the door to open wheel racing has closed for briscoe, so I wouldn't be surprised if he signed a deal with FPR. The bonus is the prodrive link, which may help keep doors open internationally.

The local powder room has made calls saying that Britek may swap to GM made Commodores.

They weren't interested when he was setting up Britek in the first place, why would they be interested now?

Quick in the Rolex sporties wasnt he?
Did a lot of test driving for Toyota didn't he - then again so did Max Wilson - yes/no ?

What is the chances of David Brabham retiring, as did Geoff, to a tin top drive in Aus ?

heard that to.

maybe bright and murphy in cat/fujitsu and supercheap backed commodores.

britek motorsport
51 - Greg Murphy
52 - Jason Bright

would be strong if they had TWP engines and the combo would be good at bathurst.

but probablly not going to happen as i think ford would fight to keep bright/britek.

My opinion is that Murph should actively pursue the vacant FPR seat. The rise of FPR this season has been amazing and if the same rate of development continues their cars will be very hard to beat. This could give Murph the best chance of becoming champ that he has had for a number of years. He's going nowhere fast driving Holdens!

Except... Mr Bright has a multi-year, multi-million dollar loyalty deal with the Blue Oval... and short of handing back the entirity of Britek to Ford, I doubt any settlement of a dispute in this area could be funded from the Fujitsu sponsorship of this team.....

Control freaks like to command their own destinies... it is a fatalist view, that you can do something outside the driver's seat you have never had to look after before, and make it come good quickly.

There is more to operating a team than having a driver in the driver seat... the tail end charlie appearance of Britek this season should prove that if nothing else.

I found it interesting that as Mr Bright threw the Cat car on pole, his 2007 ride was bringing up the tail of the field

Yes, and it wouldn't be the first time that a successful person has moved from a comfortable and profitable environment with a belief that they can emulate their success elsewhere only to find that the new environment and the "real world" has other ideas.

it wasn't that holden wern't interested in bright but the only reason bright went to ford was the technical support from fpr as walkinshaw has only established his business this year and now if holden/walkinshaw are willing to give bright the support and $$$ i think he would consider a move back to holden.as he wouldn't of left if he had this in the first place.i don't think.

I can't see Britek changing. It makes absolutely no financial sense at all.

Will Keed follow bright? I would imagine so.

How will winterbottom go without Bright to set the car up for him?

I bright getting better service from FPR? If this is transferred to Mark can he be #1?

Do FPR need a big name? Murphy would excel in a good FPR car, Does Johnson have the speed.

I think Johnson should get the drive. Consistant, good clean image and good fair racer.

Johnson won't leave DJR, he's talk about leaving every year for the last few years, you can only take it seriously for so long......

Where would the incentive be for Holden/HSV/Walkinshaw Performance to back what is at the moment a nothing team? There are already established Holden teams who i'd say would be in queue for any extra support Walkinshaw may offer (in addition to the current HRT and Toll teams). And in addition to this, wouldn't any Walkinshaw Performance assistance lead to the teams being grouped? Of course anymore than 4 car 'teams' are illegal......

because a team is allowed to supply engines (or components) to up to three teams. they are not allowed to have common key personnel though

Quite well I should think... the article in MN is quite interesting....

.. and the driver puts huge wraps on Greg Wheeler, formerly of DJR fame...

Nothing of Phil Keed's whereabouts have been confirmed yet. My tip is that he won't follow Bright to Britek.

what has been confirmed, is that he has not made a committment to go to Britek and it is Phils decision, but Britek would like to have him (or at least publicly they would)

Well, Phils and Bright are good mates. Rembwer when Phils left the WRC ring to come to the V8's he joined PWR and became Bright's engineer and rejoined Bright when Brighty joined FPR. So I think it is a %99.99 that Phils will go to Britek.

see greg in the real world two things happen
1 people stay in the job because it the best job in town
2 people move jobs because they want a challenge

To move from PWR to FPR would be a step up in positions.

to move to britek would be a step down, except that it would provide a challenge

Depends what phil wants at this stage in life
