It’s not like it’s under duress. Bobby is clearly happy with the car, budget, engineers and everything else involved or he’d be going elsewhere.

Returning with the same team is a level of consistency people rave about when it’s TD, WSR etc and being able to continue developing a car rather than start at the bottom with a new one can only be a good thing.

I assume after last year he's solidly the #1 driver in the team which is also an incentive. Not convinced it's the platform to show his full potential though, but fingers crossed the Brands GP form is carried to next season (and the car doesn't let go again).

Bobby did his best in what was not a great car to drive last season, so nice to see him back. Would love to see him in a better car though

now with Ciceley gone BTC Racing is the sole customer team on the grid, also I suspect that now WSR have access to all telemetry and setup sheets used by Ciceley

Might well be BTC Racing as the sole customer team. But then again are they getting new cars or just a new engine supplier? And what will Aiden Moffat Racing and Carl Boardley Motorsport be driving for 2023?

No new cars for BTC. I had heard they were looking to expand to a 4th entry but obviously that's not happening now. That is assuming they don't do a deal to borrow/lease the TBL from Boardley.

Moffat's Infinitis are likely to be replaced with Cupras. Not sure if I'd call that a customer team or not.

Seems a shame the number of models looks to decrease further. Yes the grid numbers aren't coming down, but not ideal if we're not seeing new models developed as frequently.

What would that make it - 4x Fords, 6x Cupras, 4x BMWs, 4x Hyundais, 5x Hondas, 3x Toyotas plus the unknowns in PMR and Boardley (BMW?). Perhaps we're just spoilt off the back of having about 10 a few years ago.

Well, that's rather disappointing.

Guess it's up to Boardley to throw something new into the mix then! I suppose it'll just be a fifth Hard entry under Boardley's name.
