red_hsv should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi guys. I have got dvd's of bathursts from 1979's onwards, and they are the complete races. The 1979 race even has the pre race entertainment on one of the discs. Most of the races are on 3 discs, plus the top 10 shoot-outs of 1980 - 1985 on one disc.

Interesting, as 2-3 years ago when the Chevron DVDs came out I asked what happened to the 91,92 and 95 season reviews. Good to know 91 and 92 are out there somewhere, despite it being unlikely it will ever see the light of day again.

They are still available from duke, here's the links;

1991 - http://www.dukevideo.com/Cars/VHS/Ci...991%20VHS.aspx

1992 - http://www.dukevideo.com/Cars/VHS/Ci...992%20VHS.aspx

plus the 1986 ATCC opener from Amaroo;

I've never seen it but apparently a 60min highlights of Bathurst 1983 was produced as well, and i've also seen ads in Auto Action from 1989 advertising a 1988 ATCC season review....

As time went on the sports sections in video shops seemed to slowly disappear (before VHS's totally disappeared from them), but if you went to the right one there were gems to be found. I recall as a youngster finding a video that contained Daytona 500 qualifying races from what must have been the mid-70s, along with some off-road racing on there too...never saw it again of course

I recently purchased and enjoyed the 1990 & 1993 ATCC DVD, so i emailed Chevron and asked how to order the 1991 & 1992 ATCC DVD. They told me that they had never made such a DVD because 7 has lost the footage! But, if 7 ever find the footage again, they will definitely release the DVD.

7 lost the footage! SO that's the problem.

I remember when those dvds came out and I ordered them right away. I thought 91 and 92 would be a separate dvd at some future point in time. But I believe I was told then that season reviews for those seasons were never done and it would not be worth the bother editing the footage to make a dvd.

I really enjoyed the 1993 season.

The 1991 & 1992 reviews are edited to about 90mins each, and are easily available on order from the links i posted above.

I bought both reviews from a place in Sydney a few years back.

I've read lost footage was the reason for no 1995 review, but last year the V8 coverage used footage of Jason Bright in Formula Ford at Symmons from 1995, so they either raided someone's personal collection or the footage is still in their archives (One of the V8 Extra episodes last year also featured footage of Garry Rogers in the 1979 Hardies Heroes)

Someone said on here before there was no 1995 review because 7 never did one in the first place.

I don't have a PAL VHS, nor do I want one, so hopefully it will be released on dvd at some point in the future(91-92).

Thanks Racer, I have ordered both vidoes on-line from Duke UK. Now comes several weeks of standing anxiously beside the letterbox every afternoon.

Looked like it was a Channel 7 production (or possibly ATLAB, when did their partnership start?), possibly shown on TV then sold on video at a later date.

Racer69, it was an ATLAB video - I have a copy if you want one... we need to swap our other stuff as well, its still here ready to swap!

Oran Park 1983. Check out the move Moffat does on Brock over the dogleg!

And Brock's reaction to hear that the 13B had been approved to the RX7's.

1991 & 1992 ATCC on VHS arrived last week, Thanks Duke! Watched them both on the weekend and it was just fabulous! The variety of different types of cars with different strengths and weaknesses, doing similar lap times and passing & repassing, awesome racing! Ahh, those were the days.............

I have seen these on offer on eBay but as I don't have access to the internet on weekends I was out bid on them everytime. I'd really like to get copies of these.

I have a copy of the 1982 James Hardie 1000 highlight video. Unfortunately the video store closed down without notice as i'd have been happy to offer them any price for the original copy. As it stands I hope convert my VHS dub to a DVD or .avi file in the near future.
