The other story was that Mr Penske looked behind the couch cushions, found a few bucks, and bought the series from Archer.

One is right, or none, or both.

Let’s see...
The first one ties all the rumours together nicely. Almost too nicely.

The second one is credible. He has history with being a part owner of CART and now IMS/Indycar.

I mean, why not both?

Can't see WAU becoming a BMW team due to the Walkinshaw part of the team having Holden ties through the HSV brand.

Penske owning would be kinda neat to see but since he's a co-owner of a team, wouldn't this create a conflict of interest with other teams who own part of the Championship?

BMW won't do it unless they provide a car of their own design out of their Munich facility.

I suspect the Andretti United part of the team couldn't give a stuff about that. It will be interesting.

But what would BMW actually get out of it? Wouldn't think it'd help them sell more road cars?

Not going to happen unless there has been significant change at BMW HQ in the last few years.

Given it took the best part of a year to homologate the Mustang, how are BMW going to knock out a finished package in the next few months?

It'd make Chaz's move to WAU look more logical.

Current BMW Head of Motorsport is a master of whinging. M8 GTE only got fast after a big advantage in BoP.
And the programm is constantly changing. The LeMans programm was cancelled after one season.

Team Sydney potentially on the skids.

Mr Salmon has withdrawn support, and money.

Anything published?

I'm not surprised, I'd heard a few rumours about disagreements on direction etc amongst the various parties involved.

Going by Auto Action Salmon has pulled out because he wants to do it himself and is now essentially fighting with Tekno for the money and rights to run it.

Will Fox Sports be cutting back their Friday coverage of Supercars in 2020?

Did the teams give management an ultimatum of greater FTA coverage or they would walk?
