Thanks for the update Jayne.

For everyone else in the Midlands region, how many will be attending? I think there are over 300 members in the region, yet we could probably fit everyone that attends an AGM into a phonebox (well, almost!).

It's OUR club's AGM, it's not something we don't have an interest in, yet there is SUCH little interest from most people.

If you are not planning on going, is there a reason for not doing so - how about posting it so the commitee could maybe improve it for next year (or maybe this year if there's time?) Maybe it's being a midweek date, maybe it's the venue, too far away, etc?

Personally, I'm just an ordinary club member, but as I pay good money to be a member of that club, I want to listen to the commitee's reports and have an opportunity to have my say about the club and it's future.

I would love to attend Simon but unfortunatly I will not be this year.
Reason being I have to work. The date is not a problem as I now have to work 4 from 7, the days change each week. Sod's Law that I have to go in this year.
I, like yourself, would like to hear the reports etc etc. Oh well maybe next year.

Cheers Col

Work's got to be done - in these times, it's paramount.

I expect I'll try to make it, but seeing as I work in St. Albans, I won't necessarily be able to make it - it just depends on what time I finish, which I won't know until I've actually escaped from the building.

I'll be there and would love to see as many people there as possible.

I am also hoping to do an AGM Special Newsletter to keep anyone who couldn't attend updated

For those that aren't attending, it would be courteous to email/contact one of the commitee to give your apologies - if you don't know who they are, PM me (with your 'proper' name )and I'll offer the list of names at the meeting.

There's a world of difference knowing people aren't attending due to work and just thinking people don't care.

For those not attending, do you have anything you'd like to ask?

I'm sure I remember e-mailing a reply to the original anoouncement to say I couldn't go. The only comment I might have made at the meeting is probably as well stated here anyway: Thank you to those who put in the effort on our behalf. It is appreciated.

What a cracking event, nice food, good company and best of all the freedom to walk around the wonderful museum that Tom Wheatcroft has set up.
Well done to the Committee.
