Quite an International mix in the 'Some Motors' set, and the 'Proper Cars', nothing to add beyond Proper.
And then to spoil us with some 'home grown classics' all grown in Blighty. Nice Sunday breakfast viewing for me. |

When I opened the page today it opened straight on the Ferrari 750 Monza in the first pic..... my immediate thought was that lovely. I smiled when I then saw "Lovely" was your description / heading for the set. No arguments there. I continued looking at the pics then saw words like Imposing, Classic and Purposeful.
I was thinking they would be better described as Splendid Wonderful and Magnificent. Anyway, a superb selection of cars almost beyond description. Excellent work. Thanks as usual. Yews dun good mistah. |

Yes, some nice posts there, Bob, particularly the 'Lovely' ones. You're beginning to sound like Max.

Just wondering if 4097 BH 75 has been my Dad's property at some point of her life. Or maybe registered as belonging to Le Sorcier, who knows now they make so much crazy money. Nice selections, well done, tks.

Enjoyed looking through your photos from recent weeks Bob, thanks for posting them.
Came across some I took at CSCC Croft, July 2017: |

Thanks Malcolm, good to know, and thank you for posting your pictures, I never made it as far North as Croft, but looks like a good place for photography. I expect a few people will remember that meeting, might even be in your snaps.
Kind regards, Bob |

I was at Croft in August/September and the circuit was the same as shown in Malcolm's post.
The banking close to the mickey mouse section near the Complex gives very good views over towards Sunny in and Sunny out corners. Did you ever compete there? |

No not at Croft..... As far as Yorkshire goes, I remember taking my Clubmans car to Harewood Hillclimb a couple of times in the late seventies and very early eighties..... loved the place. A little less so in the wet.

I competed at Harewood also. The course is a bit longer now than it was in the 1960s/70s but I'm not sure when it was lengthened. They added quite a long section prior to the original start line but as the start was at the bottom of the hill the new bit doesn't have much 'hill climb' to it. I won a fastest touring car trophy in a Ford Anglia twin-cam at a novices event in 1967 and I still have the lovely engraved silver plated platter to this day though it's looking a little tarnished now. |
