25 points is a reassuring gap, therefore it's clear that manuel is the favourite.

Podge is way off in second or worse every race nowadays but one fall from Elias made thar change. In my opinion Elias is the faster racer and it would be such a shame for him to move to MotoGP without a World Title, but Poggiali definitely has the edge.

Manuel should win it. Elias may well rue those points he lost in Brazil.

IMO Poggy has this one wrapped up already. The only way Elias or Rolfo will beat him is if Poggy has a bad race or DNF.
And realistically, only Elias can beat him. It’s clear Rolfo and the Honda are still not a match for the other two. |

Unfortunately Pggi will win this one. Elias is a much faster rider and it would be great to see him win it but unless Pggi falls then this one is all over.

The championship is now wide open between Rolfo and Poggiali, as Elias blew it once again with another poor race in the wet.
I'll be cheering for Rolfo. It's obvious he's not on a bike as good as the Aprilia, yet he's managed two sterling wins on the machine, finished at every race - he deserves it on his sheer consistency. |

2nd is no disgrace either |

No Rolfo hasn't got a chance A well deserved to Rolfo and a very good ride from Ant West,I was unimpressed with both with Elias, who I thought had a very good chance and Poggiali. However much I would like to see Rolfo and Honda win the championship,I now think Poggiali will take it. |

Its sort of a reverse situation to what Poggiali was in last year in the 125s when 2nd was good enough for Arnaud Vincent to win the title even if Pogg won.

Poor Elias... Remember 2 years ago? He lost any chance to the title in the penultimate stage, and the title went to...??

Hmm must be costsavings for the 250's.
Maybe to attract more teams?? I think Rolfo has a very good chance on getting Poggiali at the throat now.... I really hope he can do it...it would be very great. Last edited by Winther; 19 Oct 2003 at 20:34. |

I dont like Poggi under pressure. I think if Rolfo can apply enough pressure then Poggi cn lose it. Also dont expect Elias to do any favours for his arch enemy. He would prefer to see Rolfo win it, so expect Elias to get right in on the action. This race should be a cracker. I cant wait. Heres to hoping it lives up to expectations.
