sure, their agenda in the short and long run is to win! im not sure why that is not the goal of every team though!
i do understand the concept and need to reduce costs but to say that a team should not act in its own (selfish) interest (winning while their opposition loses) is like saying there is an inherent problem with competition. if costs are to be controlled im not sure why anyone would leave it up to the teams to decide what that level should be. this needs to be decided by the FIA, monitored by them, and if any team has a problem with it then they are free to leave and compete elsewhere. but there has never in my mind been a realistic chance that these teams can agree on anything...and part of why i watch is to see them compete over everything. if we lose that we risk losing something even more valuable. |

It seems that not only have these teams left FOTA, but they have also gone and signed up to another concorde agreement.

Ross Brawn has been talking about FOTA and how it was short sighted of the four teams that have left to do so. He feels that even though the organisation has less to do at the moment in the long term it is better for the teams to stick together.
He has been in discussions with the teams regarding thte RRA to try tosort out their differences. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/97624 |

It all seems a bit weird and coincidental that only teams using Ferrari engines (Ferrari, Sauber, STR) or that are linked to a team or an engine supply in some other way (Red Bull, STR) have left FOTA. Obviously they have some collective reason for leaving FOTA. To what end?
