I'm on 19F - White overalls or go "in costume" That is the question.

I could also do with some spare passes if anyone has them. PM me if you can help, Thanks.

Normal Goodwood activities don't use post numbers so I doubt if there will be a map showing them.
But here are the rough post numbers from last year, if someone can put in the flag points then you will have an idea for this year.
1 & 2, Just after start to Madgwick in.
3, Madgwick out.
4, Fordwater.
5 & 6, No Name.
7, St Marys.
8 & 9, Lavant.
10 & 11, Lavant Straight.
12, Woodcote.
13, Chicane.= this year 22 then the flag point 23
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the list, much appreciated.

I know that I'm attending but my info has yet to arrive. Expected on Tuesday - i think letters were sent out on Friday and our post can be a little unreliable.

Looks good Stig, only thing that I'm not sure about is the numbers, as the last time I was there for a sprint there were only 23 but then it had only just been done so maybe modified since then!

So, all you Goodwood veterans, have you got any hints & tips for a first timer? For starters, what do I actually have to wear if I want a look around the paddock at any time over the weekend? Any other advice is welcome

Where are you posted Arnie? If you are on a "white overall" post, then you should be able to get in. If you are not, you'll need a jacket and tie combo to get in. Which is a bit tricky to change into really. Having said that, there's plenty to see outside of the paddock so don't fret too much about it. I didn't bother on my first revival last year.

If you're wearing oranges, don't be surprised if you think that you have just stepped off a flying saucer. Do use the tractors to get to or from your post if it's a long way away, Enjoy the racing because it's fantastic and if you're on 9F (ex 6F)... DUCK!

UPDATE

Oh I see you're on 7... formerly 4. Um... Disregard the instruction to duck.

Steve,
The days are quite long, with not much time to browse, especially from posts further around the circuit. The only time I've done it, after Saturday's racing, I did it in Orange, but there was nothing left to see.
Great races, lots of famous drivers, superb air displays.
Good atmosphere in the campsite, but try and get there early (I'm talking Thursday lunchtime) otherwise you may find yourself along way from the Toilets/showers/entrance.

It's been a while Stiggy, but I think you have the flags/ marshals posts mixed up at the chicane. The "island" was the post chief and the intervention team and the flags are the positions before (outside) and after (inside)

Woodcote is 20 - certainly has flags on the post
not sure they have a flag point down from the main post - can't really remember, but the numbering appears to suggest not
post you have labelled 22 is a flag point probably 21f
the one you have labelled 23F is 22
23f is after the chicane, on the inside, about the middle of what you have labelled "bike paddock", though I thought there was a GRRC grandstand there.

nice map, mine never got anything like that far, but it has a suspiciousy similar name

Good news for those that wanted to be part of the event but didn't get chosen.
Goodwood have asked us to provide a small number (20) of spectator marshals each day to monitor a pathway on the infield between the tunnel on the Lavant straight and the Chicane area.
Some experience of spectator marshalling and radio use would be an advantage but not essential.
To offer your services or for more details please contact:
Kevin Lawrence on 01243824086 mob 07710025041
or e-mail kevinlawrence@tesco.net.
You ARE marshals so marshal camp site etc applies.

I'm working Thursday so won't be arriving until Friday morning. Anyway, I can't be much further away from things as I was at the GP (somewhere in Towcester, I think!!).
