Scrutineers advice. Helmet wrapping.

The ‘wrapping’ of helmets is not acceptable. Vehicle wrapping is commonplace now, and the reason for not accepting it on helmets is simply that it can easily cover up cracking and other damage. The same applies to helmets where decals have been applied.

Helmet dating.

Although the Snell SA2005 standard expired at the end of 2018, the FIA 8860-2004 standard remains valid until the end of 2020, therefore such a helmet remains acceptable until the end of 2020.

We are about 30 HFF on the grid, ready to rock (no rolls we hope) and have a talented line up for the season ahead.

Two or three new boys to us but not to racing - We welcome new drivers; London-based Kit Lawson in a Lotus 31 ex-Jim Russell School car of the early 1960’s. He was a Locost racer 15 years ago. His car’s last outing was 44 years ago in 1974 and may be the oldest Formula Ford car racing with us.
Stephen Mansell is another ex-Caterham Series racer joining us from West Sussex settling himself in a Macon.

The Radio Caroline Over50 Championship will be one of our big features again this year as well as our Main Carless/Championship points. We will also be hosting and trialling a parallel championship run by Merlyn driver Ross Dryborough and his company, The Worthing Implant Centre.

If we have our new tents made by this coming weekend call in for a cuppa.

New tents arrived, we now look posh,

Grrrreat racing, Cameron Jackson won with Ben Tusting 2nd and young Pierre in a shaky 3rd. 9th to 3rd covered by a second, tight fight. The rest of us also had fun/
Radio Caroline Over50 1-3 went to Ted Pearson, Rob Smith & Brian Morris.

May 18-19 Silverstone next.

Silverstone just gone.

Mega-racing even for the Grand Prix Circuit - it was tight up the top...and also for a big bunch behind. 2 tenthes enclosed the first 4 and followed by ten cars, repeat 10 cars within a couple of seconds then many 2, 3 , 4- car battles in BOTH races.
Next, Snetterton then Cadwell (live band & BBQ) Both great racing circuits. Come and see us. You'll need to brace yourselves.....

This weekend's HFF race is gonna be a belter!

We have a serious entry for Snetterton this weekend. Maybe not in numbers but there's certainly QUALITY on the grid for two gripping races.

See the entries and believe. If you can't make it, go to Live Timing all on the HSCC Website. Find a seat with some belts...
