Formula Libre Ireland Launch
Formula Libre Ireland Launch 2006 Season
Formula Libre Ireland launched their 2006 season with a photoshoot last Sunday in County Meath. Class frontrunner Dan Daly displayed his newly Camel-Williams liveried Reynard 92D, whilst arch rival Ken Fildes was bubbling with enthusiasm over his new Scholar-built Duratec engine just fitted to his Martini-liveried Ralt RT4. Some new additions to the class may see that the old school may not have it all their way in 2006, however. Former Fiat Uno champion Bob Copeland has thrown his hat in the ring and purchased a 90D Reynard F3000, with an identical Holden powerplant to Daly. Spectacular hillclimber Simon “Mad Dog” McKinley will also pilot a Daly-run Ralt RT23-Holden in the early races while his Lant awaits a fresh Warrior powerplant. Others to watch out for include ’05 Stryker pacesetter Keith Colmey in his newly acquired F3 Ralt RT32, Seamus Ryan’s ‘bike-engined F3 car and former karter Peter Dunne in a ’93 Reynard-Judd. The regulars should be joined by a few visiting Radicals from time to time and even Motorsport Ireland’s Chairman John Naylor will make an appearance in a modified Formula Vauxhall!! The Formula Libre Ireland class will race at Mondello Park, Kirkistown and the newly-revived Phoenix Park Motor Races where they are sure to be a huge favourite with the large crowds! Any truth in the rumour that closed wheel libre will run with the open wheelers? I reckon Ron Cumming could put it up to the single seater guys.

I'd say he reckons that too!!
I think (but could be wrong) that closed wheel libre is now going to be an Open Saloon class and everything else goes in Libre. Is Ron's car not an F2 car with a body on it anyway? |

formula libre ride height
hi is there any ride height restrictions in the formula libre class? eg40mm
or can i run my formula renault at its designed 20mm? |

I don't think there are any ride height restrictions (or any other type of restrictions) in Formula Libre Ireland. You can mail the class through their website (see original post for address), but as Crunch says, you'll have trouble getting near the track if the ride height is low....................

i have no intentions of doing the park.... it is a car breaker..& the only thing i would race round the park would be a tank

In that case, ignore all of the above, and , no there is no ride height restriction in Formula Libre................
