Easy? Not for me, sorry.
One question for you RBS: what M Hawthorn and Jochen Rindt have in common? You can add two names…

I expect this one will be too easy for Midgetman;
Who would have driven all of these models, amongst others?

They were both born in April, and neither lived to wear number one on their car after winning the F1 Championship?

Bob, this is an excellent illustration of this thread, one question brings very interesting answers.
If I add two "Hill" will you climb to the summit I'm looking for?

Hawthorn was followed by Brabham as champion and Rindt by Fittipaldi so that clue confuses me. Rindt was not followed by Hill at Lotus!

RB. Who knows what arcane thoughts dwell within Gerard's head, but adding 'two hill' suggests that Hawthorn and Rindt share something in common with two drivers names Hill, and three have won the WC, one twice. Being from very different era;s I do not see how cars, etc. might come into the equation, so I am looking at their lives for connections, but knowing GerryMo, i am not hopeful,

Most of Gerry's questions are based on the Le Mans 24 Hour Race and Hawthorn, Rindt, and Phil Hill all won it, but neither Graham or Damon did.

Baub, excuse me for questioning your knowledge but I thought that Graham Hill had won the Le Mans 24 hour race? (I thought he was unique for having done this, and winning the Indianapolis 500 & F1 World Championship?)

I could have sworn Graham Hill won the Le Mans 24 hour in 1972, driving a FRENCH Matra with a French co-driver (Henri Pescarolo)
It was one part of his being the only driver to have ever won the Triple Crown, namely Le Mans, Monaco, and the Indy500.

Just sayin'.....

Edit: Drat.... pipped at the post by Viv to correct Bob.

Graham did win Le Mans in a Matra with Henri Pescarolo, so Le Mans may be the answer.

No worries E.B, your quote was more correct in that it was winning this, Indy and Monaco (not the World Championship) that created the Triple Crown
(I was in too big a rush to discredit Baub and I didn't check my facts!)

I thought he had, and that that was the connection, so I did a Wikipedia to confirm, but I must have missed it because it did not appear to be listed, but my eye sight is failing since my local optician retired, and with restrictions, I can't get new glasses. (Well that is my excuse)

Still I solved it for the rest of you.

PS; Viv I don't mind people questioning my knowledge, as long as they don't do it too often. OK?
