While not as bad, some of those coupe prototypes have almost as comical cockpit looks as DPG1/G2 used to have

Slightly biased post as I'll be racing there but Britcar has one of it's biggest grids ever for next weekends Silverstone round.

Nice mix of cars over 5 classes (There's a Saker RAPX in Class 2 Chiana)

I like it as well, good looking little car and quite quick. Hopefully it'll feature on the TV coverage (posted on the youtube page sometime after the event)

As class 3 is exclusively for GT4 cars this year it's brought a few odd cars together.
It's one reason why I love racing in Britcar, such a variety of things can turn up.

It's not quite to the (theoretical) variety ecstasy of that African Endurance Series which would've admitted even LMP1 and LMP2 cars had someone entered them lol, or that one German series with no performance balancing utilized for any random car entered - even GT1s, but yes you do want as wide spectrum as possible

Oh granted it's not quite that mixed, or like the old Vallelunga 6 hours where the Lavagi LMP1 raced against a KTM X-Bow!

Indeed...
I wish someone organized say 12 hour event somewhere where you could literally bring up "whatever" you had from any current or historical regulation, and they'd just let you run it as it is, whatever spec and team running it. If say minimum of 5 cars from the same sort of category were entered, it'd become a class, but otherwise they'd just be shown in the general classification

I have not found a category in Sports & GT Racing specifically about the GT Cup Championship in the UK: https://www.gtcup.co.uk/. Is it too a "Lower Leagues" series?

I think it is probably too dwarfed by the British GT series

Considering that this is 'my' thread, I'll say that it's perfectly fine to post about it in this thread, especially since we already talked about Dutch Supercar and DMV GTC in here, which are on a similar level.

National GT series are very unlikely to get coverage worldwide

Forum member Mike Hedlund has signed up for his first Lamborghini Super Trofeo race at Laguna Seca. He will be co-driving with Pippa Mann. Congrats Mike! You'll have to let us know how the car is to drive vs the other machines you've piloted.
