Are Britcars long races?

Never done EERC / Britcars before and I'm thinking of doing Apr 8 Oulton Park.
Is this racing different to normal, i.e. long races or even 24hrs?

They are normally endurance races of around 2 hours. The meeting at Oulton last year suffered from a small grid as it was a couple of weeks prior to the first britacar 24 hour race but that shouldn't affect this years entry. The support races have pretty decent sized grids as well. Give it a try, you'll enjoy it.

Nice mix of cars. Tend to trade places right down the field. Worth a day out.

Come to Silverstone in September for the 24 Hours. Britcars are great over long distances and the organisers realyy take care of us. You'll enjoy it.

Too true! A T-shirt, sew on badges, two breakfasts and two evening meals! The EERC are one club that really has the interests of marshals in mind. I have already volunteered for this years Britcar 24 hours!

Britcar are endurance aces, endurance being relevant to the marshals!

True. But I've marshalled short F3 races that have tested me far more than long Britcar's.

Don't take Oulton last year as typical. They usually have full grids of cars and drivers of varying ability. Makes for good flagging!
