McLaren staff in St Louis
A friend told me Ron Dennis and Chris Edwards were just in St Louis, Mo.They left today. Anyone know why ?? Any McLaren connection ??

McLaren are supplying ECUs to NASCAR for their fuel injection project, possibly to do with that?

I know first hand that Ron Dennis has/had a home in the USA. And also business related activities as well.

They've just tested fuel injection in Kentucky IIRC.

They just tested the new FI systems at Kentucky and will be testing again in Phoenix later this year. 5 engine builders were there to test all 4 engines in their nominated chassis, supposedly about the same hp\speeds produced but noticably better fuel economy

Was watching Nascar today and they interviewed one of the driver who has done a car swap with Lewis hamilton where Hamilton had driven the Nascar and the nascar guy had done 4 laps in the F1 car. they didn't go into detail more than he really enjoyed the laps, and that it was done as a Mobil 1 promo.
Maybe something to do with that?? |
