On the Stu McCarthy podcast it is also mentioned that Rust is starting up his own podcast as well

Sounds like he will just be freelancing and picking up work as it comes along.

I think they've gone for two opposite ends of the spectrum there, Rust is probably a bit too serious and Power obviously has little knowledge of Supercars so goes for the simple gags, which makes it pretty disjointed between them (it's also the first show to bear in mind too of course)

Ironically I think Skaife and Power doing this could be a better mesh for this type of light hearted show.

Perhaps, but there is no doubting it was a horrible performance from Mr Power.

Dunlop could do much better.

What is HG Nelson up to?

Nooooooo that boring old has been, heard him doing the Cricket recently, inane ramblings about anything other than what was happening on the field, silly and juvenile, maybe senility has set in or going through a second childhood.

It is a pity that Skull (ex Test cricket player Kerry O'Keefe) wasn't into motor sport.
His radio cricket commentary was most entertaining, hilarious and knowledgeable often causing me much discomfort from laughing so much.
....and this was on the ABC !

Isn't that the exact reason he was on the program, to provide the stuff he usually does? He was there to add colour, not to be a normal commentator (same as the other comedians they used)

What the hell was that?

I found that hard to sit through. That was frankly just ****. Ive got a warped and eccentric sense of humour but there was nothing amusing about Powers contribution to that. Hopefully itís the last lap for him. I feel sorry for Rusty having to co host with that guy.

I saw elsewhere someone suggest Dave Reynolds as a replacement. Thatís more like it. DR and Thrusta would have better chemistry. Poor Greg seemed confused as to what his idiot co host was saying half the time and why.
