Although my biggest suprise is how Mclaren are doing. I would have thought they would have been on the podium for both races.

I would say Williams has performed better than expected. McLaren and Ferrari much worse.

RBR has been a surprise and they get a lot of credit. I'm not sure they can keep it up.

They wouldve been had it not been for Raikkonnen's puncture and the qually conditions in Australia.... Kimi definately was headed for a podium today IMO

McLaren could easily have had podiums at both races so far if it hadn't been for mistakes/bad luck.

They have the pace and results will come.

They are 5th in the CC, sure, but just looking at pace and subtracting the effect of unfortunate incidents they are better than that. It is pretty obvious that they have a bit more speed than RBR. Equally it is clear that McLaren can feel justifyably let-down by what they have gathered so far. True picture yet to emerge I reckon.

Did you notice Williams, resprouted the old-fashioned bargeboards (did they have those in Australia) in conjunction to some sort of complete multi-tuning vane solution. That's a huge shift in ideas, for a team that has been without bargeboards for a number of years?
