[DV8SC12-R07] Dunlop Development Series, Homebush Nov 30-Dec 2 [WITH POLL]

The last round of the series.

With five blokes still with a mathematical chance of winning the title.

Mr McLaughlin, Mr Mostert, Mr Percat, Mr Pye & Mr Youlden can all win this thing...

Will we see a new champion crowned, for a team that hasnt won before?

Will someone else come from left field, or take delivery of a new car before this final round and surprise with their pace?

It would be hard to go past the competitiveness of the FPR package... but can the bad luck/poor strategy/gremlins stay at home for a whole weekend?

We shall see...

Considering some of the driving that was going on at Winton in the DVS to single out this incident is a bit of a joke.

The times are a bit all over the place, but 3 of the 5 are at the top

Mr Percat is the one to watch at the moment.. what with the latest HRT bits under its skirts.. the #222 should do well...

Wouldn't be surprised if Mr Mostert will be sporting a thick ear after his turn 1 display.

well i was wrong, they took care of it themselves

would have been interesting if Chaz had not got a drive through, (fair penalty though) he was certainly moving

I disagree. The penalty for taking cars out like that should be finishing behind everyone effected (thus, last place)

It should be a complete readdress.

Might change some peoples approach to driving though.

Likewise it should be the same if you hit a car, which recieves a black/orange flag as a result. Otherwise you could just hit ever cars rear bumper til its loose and win

I dont disagree in theory

but i would hate to sanitise the series anymore, especially if it is inconsistant with other top level series throughout the world

I dont really see how its fair that you can reverse into 6 cars, and still finish in the top 10. The penalty doesn't fit the crime atm (in my eyes)

He was miles back almost a lap down, with only a couple of cars behind him. THEN he did a drive-through. Credit where creidit's due, here. After all that, he still climbed back up to 6th.

How much more do you want to punish someone? Should it be an eye for an eye?

Yes. Pretty sure i made that clear in my post. I know what the current rules are, but they dont disencourage that type of driving.

When you're in a clearly superior car, not many penalties are going to affect your results that much.

Which is my point (I'm not sure you read my post)

If you take out other drivers with a dick move, you should not be classified as a finisher.

He's already lost alot of points this year, so its not like its the first time...

Mr Mostert's 'impetuous' driving decisions are arguably FPR's fault to some extent

They are clearly not managing their pilot correctly to manage the beginning, middle and end of the race

Mr Mostert has prodigius speed in that car, which is only shown when recovering from a stuff up. Man that thing is a serious jet off the turns and in a straight line!
