Fair call GTR, seemed like a shame for the #25 as the car did have genuine pace, to get a lap back with the damage is beyond impressive.

Looked naked after the race, did the 'cover' come off the guard?

No the car isn't wrapped. Green and black is paint and everything else is done in vinyl.
The sign actually says "Get well Bazz" not Dazz. This is in reference to Barry Hay.

As for the car, the front splitter was also damaged, contributing to the off's.

Bright was sensational but I reckon the second off was from trying to catch up after the unfortunate first corner. he had to make up a lot of time and couldn't leave room for error. the damage makes his performance more impressive but to use the damage as an excuse for an off would mean that all suddenly materialised just before the second off.

Bright was still hammering around after that. I saw that incident and disappointedly(real word?) I walked over to the otherside and was watching him catch up to the tail pretty quickly until he hit the sand. It must have made it more difficult to drive but he was still quick. Looked like blue flags really slowed him down after that as he was very close to the leaders pace.... he was very very slightly slower but the damage makes that pretty impressive.
