Although it could almost pass as a Jordan...

Hmm, don't like our livery much...

Found a pic of Lebanon's entry, which I think is quite tidy.

I think it looks better like that than it might in green.

As we've seen on the Jaguar F1 cars, green just looks naff on a modern single seater (IMHO).

They could have chosen to copy a classic british team livery though, e.g. JPS/Olympus, Yardley, Martini Brabham, etc. They needn't use the actual sponser, but imagine a JPS coloured entry for the UK

The best I've seen is that of the Bahrain (maybe it's Dubai?) entry, it has a cartoonish T-Rex livery on white background, reminds me of the ALMS 2001 "Croc" Audi of Allan McNish.

Found a pic of the pakistani livery.

Mexico and Australia are the two final countries to make up the six that have presented their liveries. I cant find any decent pics of those though .

I think the Union flag thing better sums up a British image - they're trying to get instant identification from casual viewers as well as hard core.

IMHO the Jaguar had the nicest paintjob on the grid. Would've looked much better somewhere near the front, s'all.

Looks like there will be a lot of green on the grid anyway.Brazil & Pakistan already anounced. Most Moslem countries seem to have green on their flags. Also a lot of red, white & blue.
I too would have preferred they used the International Racing Colours.

Did any of you watch the A1 coverage on Fifth Gear last night? They had Jason Plato driving the Dubai entry car on the local track.

Yup, I saw that.
Presumably that was the only test car the Dubai entry had? Or was it a general A1GP test car?

Its a shame he wasn't allowed to put his foot down though .

The circuit looked rather neat though.

Yup and at the same time doubles up as the "official" show/test car which is not surprising at all. I think the Dubai circuit is better designed than that of Bahrain for sure.

It was a test car.

There is not a "Dubai" entry as such - it would be United Arab Emirates anyway - and they are not on the confirmed list just yet.

mixxer has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
It seem the A1GP organisers would like all cars competing to wear their country's colors, what impact would this have on possible sponsors I wonder

An interesting question, also who defines a countries' colours?
a, colour of flag
b, other colour associated with that country
c, official FIA colour (now defunct)
I guess they will have to find sponsors with the same colours as one of the above- like Ferrari?

I would imagine the colours recognisable to the citizens of that country as their own.

For example, both New Zealand and Australia (and other pacific islands with british ensigns for flags) have strong traditions of sportspeople competing in other colours than the flag. Black and white for NZ, green and gold for Aussie.

I thing the organizers intention is to prevent sponsors from dominating. The negotiations will be interesting...

Some of the cars do have sponsors already... mostly smaller stickers though. Not sure if a sponsor will be able to use the whole car...
