As for McLaren talked to Kevin Madsen that ran the Indy 8 hour and the 24 hours of spa he was there as a driver coach up on spectator hill for Brendan Iribe in the 70 and and they aren't crazy about silvers being AMs after running in SRO and this was prior to the big GT wreck that took them out but said Brendan was was aiming to run the endurance cup next year maybe minus watkins glenn

According to Endurance-Info Dane Cameron has quit Honda/Acura.

Not a great surprise I think, but I had not seen it announced before.

Couple bits from S365 this week

Grosjean appears likely to be in the WTR Acura for the Rolex according to EI via S365 reporting on the reporting. Could be interesting, his sportscar days were in GT1s.

United looking to return to IMSA for enduro program with an LMP2 car.

G-Drive with 2 cars for Daytona:

No word on drivers yet, but that is a big boost for the P2 class. I have lost track of all the announcements, but I know United will have a car and possibly a couple other European teams coming over.

Grid count for GTD (I consider it 1 class still), LMP2, LMP3 look strong for the 2022 Florida swing. P2 and P3 could both be above 10 cars for the enduros. For goodness sake even G Drive is coming in now. I bet GTD overall will be easily in the 20's for the enduros. DPI count is probably the same as 2021, just subtract Mazda and add 2nd Ganassi Cadillac.

For me there is no point to discuss full season entries until the post Sebring/pre Long Beach time period.

Racing Team Nederland will take part in Michelin Endurance Cup.

Drivers: Frits van Eerd, Giedo van der Garde and Dylan Murry. At Daytona Rinus van Kalmthout will join the team.

Great! I like that team, and you aren't going to miss that car on the grid! Murry is a good driver to add for them, young, but has experience in IMSA.

Had a feeling Magnus would switch makes. Waiting on what PMR will go with still. Interesting is that so far at least GTD seems lacking a Lamborghini and Acura entrants. Much time to go of course. And we really are just discussing the Florida endouros too. In past we have seen GTD full season or sprint cup season announcments made in spring after the 36 hours.

Magnus announced they were switching from the Acura pre-Petit and that they were leaving Archangel. The materials, parts, tools and even transporter were split at the track and Potter took his stuff home. Apparently they also split up crew members and Potter is building up his old team again. Aston was interesting though, think he has run Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini, Acura and now Aston. Good variety over the years

During some race broadcasts this past season it sounded like a Pro car with a Porsche factory driver was a possibility. Not sure if that is still the case.

More GT news yahhy. Gilbert Korkhof (#32 Mercedes car running late season sprint races) full time. Carbahn going to Lamborghini also full season.

Anybody with a scoop on what manufacturer PMR is going with?

This Week in Sportscar podcast gave a very strong hint as to what manufacturer PMR is going to for 2022. Pruett took a shot at Magnus racing too. That squad better use that as motivation going forward. Give them a listen.

MP seems to have his favorites and Magnus is not one of them. Potter pays and stays involved so frankly MP can go screw with those who come in and out or make huge promises and never show up.

Lose one McLaren GT4 and gain one LMP3, AWA moving to WeatherTech LMP3 and Prototype Challenge with 1 car each, D-08s.

The announcements keep coming, Dragonspeed full time P2 with Hedman and Montoya. Joined by teenage Montoya for Sebring.

This pairing won't contest Daytona as it isn't a part of the P2 championship, but Dragonspeed will have a car there:

In GTD Pro, so much for the rumored Pfaff ain't getting the GTD Pro program from another site. And they're reported as retaining the plaid, not Porsche corporate, livery.

And Porsche teased a bit of the LMDh car but not much to see there really
