I've seen a couple of Alfa Twinks in Mk 1 Escorts complete with the 5 speed gearbox but never in an Anglia.

veroli should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
chevron anglia

Here is my dad, Dave Willars racing his Anglia some time around 66/67 I think.
The car was helped to be prepared by Derek Bennett who also raced it from time to time usually if it was raining as Derek didn't like get wet in open cockpits.

This 1800cc Mini is fascinating, what engine did it use? Surely not a BMC B-Series as that would have the carbs at the back like the normal A-Series, or does it have a special cylinder head too?
(There was supposed to be a B-Series engined Mini built by BMC for the film The Italian Job, but this apparently fell apart at the end of filming!).
Please keep the pictures and memories coming folks...
With those Weber carbs out front I guess it used a version of the original HRG-Derrington crossflow cylinder head for the B-Series below?

Thank you, I wasn't aware of this cylinder head.

You can still buy a version although not four exhaust ports.

Interesting Peter. (However the picture of the HRG version was only three exhaust ports too, so I presumed the 'four branch exhaust manifold' in the description to be a typo!)
