Final Instructions arrived this morning

There was a note included, to say that the gap on the A2 at the Lydden Circuit junction has been closed.
All competitors should have this but some spectators may not know. So this is what it said.
Quote:
IMPORTANT NOTICE
ACCESS TO LYDDEN CIRCUIT
The gap on the A2 at the Lydden Circuit junction has been closed. It is no longer possible to turn right into the circuit when approaching from Canterbury, or turn right towards Dover when leaving the venue.

To access the circuit from the Canterbury direction you must now continue to the second set of traffic lights after the circuit. (Approximately 1/2 mile).
Then follow the signs for Lydden around the U-Turn to the right.

DO NOT

. attempt to U-Turn at the first set of traffic lights.
. attempt to move the traffic cones.
. approach the circuit through local villages.

Good point - I'd forgotten about that. It's a bit of a pain but it doesn't take that much longer.

Second set of lights are at the Husks Freight Terminal !
You need to go over to the right whilst on the A2 just after the first set so to take the slip lane !for these lights!
As you turn right there is a small road which directs you towards Terminal then back on to A2 but be careful of traffic coming from Dover !

Thanks Guys

I had intended to post this on here and the BRDA website, but you beat me to it.

Us Dover locals don't have a problem arriving, but it's a pain going home!!!

Its not half as big a pain as driving several hundred miles, several times a year to the same pigging venue again and again. I just hope it does not rain this time!!!.

It's not allowed to rain. We have to have more than one dry meeting this year. Lydden was dry at that the start of the season, so this is our last time at Lydden this year so it WILL be DRY.

No Lydden this time

Have to mis this Lydden meeting.

Next Lydden race (rallycross open) is on september 23, same date as the last 2007 ERC race in the Czech Republic.

So next visit is Lydden 2008.

Have (dry) fun, see you next time!

Good news is I am coming out to play.

Might not be able to make it in time for signing on but if someone could let the "Power's that be" i.e. Queen know I'm coming then I'll get my spot on the grid.

See you all tomorrow!!
