Stolen Escort cosworth ALERT
Hi All
My Escort Cosworth 2wd was stolen on the night of 1st Jan, The car is a full circuit spec car built to DMN regs. The car has all new GAZ Suspension. Massif High spec brakes. The car is Ford white over Fiat chrome Orange. It has 2 team dynamics wheels on the front and old steels on rear.It has a 909 works shell with safety devices cage. The car was originally a Brands Rally school car. You can see picture of car on Facebook LES BEER. Any help in locating this car will be appreciated. Thanks and Happy New Year. |

Sorry about your loss, not everyone is on fb or fb friends with les so it might help if you post a picture on here.
Good luck and I hope you get it back soon. |

Stolen Cossie Escort
I have seen this car get gradually built up. It was due, job etc allowing, to be out this season. Les and George have put a lot of work into making this a really nice car.
I also join Les in appealing for anyone who gets offered this car as a breaker or complete car to contact the Police and or Les. If any of the thieving scumbags pop their heads above the parapet, trust me, hospital food will be their prime culinary source for some time!! |

thieving scumbags. Hope the car is recovered. Is this the same car that Les ran in DMN a few years back? (I seem to remember it being rather reluctant to run properly at the time)

stolen Escort
Thanks for your support and comments guys. Yes the picture is correct but with the rear wing is in the Fiat orange now.
It was the car that wouldn't run at Lydden but was running ok prior to theft. I have had the car for 7years so to say it has been a labour of love and a failed relationship into the bargain would be an understatement. Keep your eyes and ears open guys and once again thank you. |

It might be best if great ideas like that are done by P.M's.
Assuming the theiving wotsit can read then they are probably sitting in their caravan looking at this, seeing every move. |

The problem is, there are people within the motorsport community who will buy stolen cars etc, no questions asked.
If there were people with morals, scumbags like these would have no market for knicked racing spares etc !! |

I have a signwriting job tomorrow for a regular customer a Transit tipper truck Anyhow I did it about a year ago and it got nicked by our caravan dwelling friends but it had a tracker on it and the police swooped within 15 or 20 minutes and by that time they had stripped the vinyl signwriting off the truck!!! I wish I could work that quick lol.

It's highly unlikly it is this car but the workshop a couple of miles is working on a race spec cossie at the mo. I'll ask for history on it to be sure.
I've noted the specs and I'll take a look. |

Thanks to you all.
I think the *******s know what they are about as they left loads of expensive tools behind. They broke into 18 garages in the block and I am the only one with any substantial loss. No news from police, so guess it will be in bits and sold around the webb sites over time. Sorry Woody to hear your news. Perhaps we should form a posse' (do you spell it like that) find the f....ers and set them on fire. Oops did I say that out loud. Keep the faith guys |

To cut a long story short, when my sports racing car was stolen, I got in touch with my local paper and they ran an article headlining my £5000 reward for information leading to blah blah blah.
Within a week, my doorstep contained a shifty looking pikey cove telling me that the trailer was gone (funnily enough!) but he knew where my (almost useless to him) car was and he didn't want £5k, but a grand would be fine if I didn't involve the police. So, a grand later, my car was back in my hands and, yes - I know I paid the person who stole it to give it back to me - but so what! I had my car back for a 50th of the cost of its replacement. Maybe worth a try. |
