Well the weather was certainly good today (Saturday), but the entry was thinning down a bit quick. Amongst the casualties were Pat Doran (changing an engine!), Terry Briggs, John Cross (he really hates the Focus and says it will be his last outing in it), Greg Rose, Jos Sterkens (big loss of oil) Ralph Budd (big shunt but glad to say he is OK) Tony Scott amongst others. The supercars were reaching 137 mph on Brabham Straight which was pretty impressive. The marker tyres on Tumbledown were taking their usual bashing and no doubt Sunday will be a bit more lively.

Good to see the supercars were lumped together a bit better today. John and Pat's teams both worked hard overnight and they made it through the whole day.
Hope the Mini driver is OK after the shunt at Langley's Gap, looked nasty. |

It was a case of three into one won't go. This was on the first lap of the Minicross final. All I saw was that the drivers door had to be removed and he was lifted out still in his seat. Apparently he is OK, but it was his second big shunt of the year, at least that is what I was told by another driver.

I think it was his father who had the earlier shunt (according to stories at the marshals raffle after the event). Had a fabulous day Sunday (sadly didn't make Saturday due to illness).

we didnt need to remove the door, just the seat, by the way he did tell us at the mini is for sale, a few dents on the outside mind.
he was thinking about taking up golf, but we did tell him that was more dangerous |

I'm still new to marshalling, and I am pleased to say that the Rallycross Marshals are a fantastic bunch. Thank you for making me welcome too! Anyone who wants to try their hands at getting stuck into the action, are all made very welcome - give it a go!

Lets hope to see you both back at Brands in the near future. Maybe this coming weekend for the last meeting of the year?
I'm glad you both had such an exciting time and twin airbags, welcome to Ten Tenths. |

Thank you Mr Green, so kind. I'll have to save up again before travelling down south again. That's if Hubby lets me come out to play? He had the kids all weekend, and wants Sundays to train for his Black Belt. I'm just going to have to fight him for it.
I'm secretly teaching the kids to use nun chucks!! (only joking). Barmy Bob - it wasn't anything personal, nice to meet you anyway, did we say anything wrong to end up at Tumbledown? but we did enjoy ourselves (Good Exercise) It was nice to put some faces to names too! Thanks Guys+Gals |
