Knocked down to 8 because of safety car rules and altering the car on the grid before the re-start rules, and penalties for drivers having a go.

9. If it hadn't been the red flag I'd have given it a 10 regardless of whether Alonso or Button had got past Vettel. But the stoppage spoilt a sure classic finish.

Great race though. Wasn't expecting such stragetic mixing or as high tyre wear. Amazing Vettel managed to pull off the win really!

Incidentally, if anyone was looking at in-play betting sites, the odds for the winner were so up and down between the top 3 as to who would win, it was hilarious!!! Luckily I cottoned on that Vettel wasn't going to stop again before the bookies, though I still wanted Jenson to win!

I gave it an 8 - As others have said, it could've been so much better without the stoppage.

6. A very interesting race with intrigue and excitement completely deflated with that stoppage. Feel sorry for Jenson, he really should have won this race (or at least 2nd to Alonso). After he pitted for the prime and gained a second on his out lap I really thought he had pulled off a genius move, but luck was not on his side.

7/10. Had the potential to be a thrilling end, but went completely sour because of it. Sure, let them fix damaged parts, but not change tyres. I hope the rules are changed for the future.

I gave it just 1 point. The allowing of the teams to change the set up of the cars on the restart after the red flag totally destroyed one of the best races this year. A total farce.

7/10. FIA allowing them to work on the cars and even change tires under the red flag moved it down from a solid 9.

Yeah 8 for me great racing, bit of an anti-climax but good to see some overtaking at Monaco.

Mad, but a great race. It might have been a 10 if the battle of the top 3 had gone on to the end, but the red flag was the right decision. Vettel got lucky and Button unlucky, but it is F1. Best race of the season though.

8 for me, dissapointed at Hamilton's behaviour, great exciting race though. Glad Button got to the podium, think the top three deserved to be there of course I wanted Button to be 2nd or even better 1st! Loved Vettel's enthusiasm, he is what that sport is all about and its great to watch!

I'm inclined to agree with you but I don't think I can be quite that harsh as It was a good race up until then, especially as Monaco is so hard to overtake.

I'll give it 5.

8.

The pointless final 6 laps shouldn't ruin the quality of the previous 72.

Red flag at the end killed it. It was shaping up to be a great last few laps. Shame, another Vettel win - yawn.

I thought the race was great I gave it an 8, spoiled a little by the stoppage and tyre change which is an odd rule in my book..

Odd? nah when Bernie has his money riding on Vettel it was going to be the only outcome... don't why they bothered restarting it any way, the think they can's spoilt the makings of a good race to the finish. Score? 5

Was shaping up to be a 9, but for me severely compromised, as others have said, by the "free pit stop" on the Red flag stop. Pointless restarting the race, really - although Webber would probably disagree....

Gave it a 6.

7.
Would've been a 9 if they hadn't allowed the drivers to change tires after the red flag.

Gave it a 7 but was going to be a 9 or 10 until the red flag and the ridiculous rule - a rule that isn't applied to any other level of motorsport that i know of.

It was an eight until the red flag. It then plummetted to a 3.
What the hell is going on. Red Flag is Parc Ferme, or Finish...

I gave it an 8 because up to the Red Flag it was one of the best Monaco GP's in recent years.

Stupid rule during the red flag stop ruined what would have been a 9

All-in-all, a frickin' good race!

But having the cars being repaired and re-shod at the restart didn't help.
