Since an "evo" version of the AMG-GT roadcar is set to be launched in the near future, will we see an "evo" version of the GT3? Akin to the Huracan and Audi R8?

Today we receive the answer, a new AMG GT3 is due to be released at the Nurburgring 24 hour race.

2020 GT World Challenge Europe
Timur Boguslavskiy won the GTWCE overall drivers championship driving an AKKA ASP Mercedes-AMG GT. Also he was runner-up in the GTWCE Sprint Cup drivers championship. He won at Misano race 2 and Barcelona race 3.
AKKA ASP was runner-up at both the GTWCE overall teams championship and the GTWCE Sprint Cup teams championship.

Mercedes-AMG announcement
They will support customer teams in DTM, ADAC GT Masters, Nürburgring Endurance Series, GT World Challenge Europe and Intercontinental GT Challenge.
Maro Engel, Maximilian Götz, Thomas Jäger, Raffaele Marciello and Luca Stolz continue as factory drivers, joined by Daniel Juncadella and Jules Gounon.
