Free Practice 1
Rebellion quickest and Bykolles ahead of both Toyotas.
Leading P2's just a couple of tenths behind the Toyotas.

lets see ByKolles ahead of Toyota, and the LMP2's within half a tenth, yes this all checks out as normal!

Might be the best ever overall session result for ByKolles, well after the R10 days I guess at least. Anyway 2:03.515 is still a terrible time and only slightly faster than their FP1 time last year where they finished 9th, in the end this is down to the bop success penalties and overall decrease of quality of course. Interestingly also the comparative LMP2 pace has not really increased despite one year of continued tire war advancement and even some new compounds here but then again that too might've slowed down once Michelin realized they had been kicked out of the class. The height of the Michelin-Dunlop development arms race was really 2018 into early 2019 and in the coming years with single supplier deals we can look back into that with some nostalgia

Rebellion fastest, they are determined to go out on a high it seems. Let's hope they can take the challenge to Toyota in the race

Toyota using for the first time low downforce configuration. Probably not the best for Spa (in the past when they mixed cars in this track the high downforce ones were clearly faster) but they can afford losing this one and get better prepared for Le Mans.

It’s not the worst circuit to run low downforce IMHO, but it will mean they will be slightly handicapped in that regard. They will look better at LM agreed

Comparing lap times through 2017-2018-2019-2020. After some calculations done I'm sure only some sort of nostalgia can drive an old fan to watch this show. I think next year they could have asked Toyota to drive in reverse gear really.

But I thought this was exactly what they had asked, you know with the LMH regulations :P if they are not going backwards in reverse from the LMP1 regulations, then I'm Donald Duck
Anyway, the bop penalties won't be applied at LM, so the TS050 can show it's true pace for one final time before going to retirement. And while the Hyperbole session itself is dreadful as an idea, it will give Toyota good chance of amazing pole lap given that the track will be almost empty of traffic. There might be some Laps of Gods in offer

Is there any decent timing availible or has WEC locked everything down to just their basic one?
Cars are sliding off all over the place on their way round to the grid... this will be a SC start if not delayed
